Websocket only receives deviceOnline, deviceOffline events

My server is connecting to traccar via web socket using the default admin account.
My server receives deviceOnline and deviceOffline events but other events are not received.
They are registered to the database though. My admin account is set to be notified with
deviceMoving and deviceStopped events but my web server's web socket client does not
receive such events.
My traccar server is a fresh install on ubuntu14.04.
