the other device fulfils more of my requirements, but still very interesting, i hadn't heard of lora before
SinoTrack ST-925L is 20,000mAh build in battery for long lasting operations. Can buy from AliBaba SinoTrack online store.
@Rodney Yeo If possible can you share the battery life from your test and specify which working mode it was based on?
I have not yet purchase SinoTrack ST-925L 20,000mAh tracker as it is under consideration at the moment due to the doubled priced of ST-904L tracker unit.
I have SinoTrack ST-904L 1,200mAh tracker which battery life lasted about 16 hours with Always ON mode as tested a verified 3 times already.
Thanks for sharing! If you need longer battery life, you can try the Mictrack MT700 (with a 7800mAh battery, lasting up to 2 weeks in Always ON Mode).
According to SinoTrack manufacturer ST-925L 20,000mAh in working mode, it can be used for about 20-30 days. The data is for reference only and depends on individual usage.
Yes, I agree because the battery capacity is larger. As you know, for GPS tracking devices, the power consumption is almost the same in always-on mode, with little difference. However, in sleep mode, the CAT M1 & NB-IoT solution is better than standard 4G.
If users require the device to operate in real-time mode when there is vibration but go into deep sleep mode when still, the CAT M1 & NB-IoT solution is an better option. We have conducted real-time tests with one report per day, and the device has worked for 718 days with 67% battery remaining. We continue to update this daily. I selected SinoTrack ST-906L device because they uses SimCom chipset which I have used and confident with GPS location accuracy and no lagging or location glitches.
As compare to SeeWorld S5L device which uses QuecTel chipset which failed badly in all test compare to SinoTrack devices.
What is MicTrack chipset on your devices?
iStarTek also approach me but I do not like their QuecTel chipset due to bad experiences.
SIMCOM is the 4G module, not the GPS module, and GPS location accuracy depends on the GPS chip/module.
Additionally, even with the same module, performance can vary based on different hardware and firmware configurations. This doesn’t necessarily mean SIMCOM is better or Quectel is weaker.
Mictrack MT710 use the Quectel BG96 Module.
Anyway, this is just my personal opinion, and if you find a device that satisfies your needs, that’s enough :)
SinoTrack ST-906L uses two chipset SimCom and another for 4G and GPS but result is very good.
SinoTrack ST-904L uses also only a single chipset QuecTel for 4G and GPS but result is bad.
SeeWorld 5SL uses also only a single chipset QuecTel for 4G and GPS also result was the worst.
This are devices I bought and using now from my observation experiences.
Oh! The GPS chipset in SinoTrack is U-Blox AG which seems to be the best.
Qualicomm GPS chipset seems not accurate location and bad in locking precise coordinates.
Thanks for sharing. If there's a chance, we still recommend trying our devices :)
I will keep mind MicTrack device for my future clients vehicle setup. Thanks.
Which online platform are you selling your product?
Thanks! Currently, Mictrack Online Shop is our only online platform.
Why not using the free Lora network? SenseCap T1000A is the size of a credit card. Thickness 4 cards. I send every 5 min the location and after 5 days it lost 10% of the battery. So one month will do it easily.
