We have a new exciting feature available on the website. It's an online in-browser configuration tool for devices. It uses experimental serial API available in the latest Chrome and some other browsers. The tool allows you to configure some devices via USB cable directly from the website:
https://www.traccar.org/device-config-tool/
Notes:
- If you are not using Chrome, you might need to enable Experimental Web Platform Features:
edge://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features
opera://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features
chrome://flags/#enable-experimental-web-platform-features
- For now only some Mictrack device models are supported, but if people find it useful we can expand support in future
- If your device supports USB configuration, feel free to post details (documentation) so we can add support for it
- Any other feedback is welcome
So, it should also working with Bluetooth enabled devices over SPP (Serial Port Profile)?
Am I right?
Unfortunately serial protocol for Teltonika trackers is under NDA, as far as I know.
Well done!
We Test it and Mictrack devices work fine with the online tool, it's very useful for our customers. Thanks Anton.
Thanks,
Mictrack
Piotr, I believe it should work via Bluetooth as well, as long as it's a serial port.
