Hello,
It's more of a future idea/request.
Continuous tracking on Android (and probably iOS) works just fine, but its quite taxing on the battery, and most of the times even unnecessary. What I would like to achieve, is a switch, to turn on the tracking from home, to lets says see where is my girlfriends phone. She gets lost in the city we just moved lately, so often I need to help her.
We use Google location sharing right now, which works like this. Only problem is with privacy... she is in a Starbucks, and suddenly I see Starbucks ads everywhere.
After I do not "need" to see where is she, I would like to turn off the location sharing/tracking.
She can turn it on/off directly from the smartphone.
Unfortunately the client don't support remote configuration commands... including on/off.
It is a requested future as I can see on this forum but nobody is willing to pay for this future + make it open source and free.
Ofcourse, she can. That was just an example usage of a remote commands.
But okay, now I understand the situation.
