Push notification for the iOS app

Does push notification for the manager iOS app still need firebase setup or it can be done without it ?

For the official apps, you can use "Traccar" notifications.

Yes, but if I want to make a custom branded app , I still need to enable firebase services to get push notifications ?

Yes, for custom app you need Firebase.
