Check server log file (tracker-server.log) to see if there are any issue there.

If you don't see HEX messages there, it means server hasn't received any data from device. I guess device can't connect to the server. Are you firewall, router and everything else is set correctly?
i am a beginner in such matter. it would be of great help if you could provide me with documentation regarding the setting up of the environment or else guide me through it.
Are you sure you have public IP address? Is it assigned to a router or your server directly? If router, then you need to forward the port on router. Also, make sure firewall doesn't block the connection.

i am receiving a "SEND FAILED" in my traccar client device - iphone app, while hosting the traccar server locally. And hence i have not been able to track the device in local server. Am i missing anything. Is there any solution to this problem.
