You have to use the correct port for your specific device.
What are you forwarding exactly ? If you mean forwarding a port in your internet router that is connected to the internet to a local port on a traccar server in you local lan then you logicly forward the port to the traccar server port that uses the correct protocol for your tracking device.
So if the correct portocol runs on traccar server port 5001, then you forward incoming data on your router port 5001 to internal server port 5001. And logicly prior to that you have set the server ip and port in your tracking device.
But first i would suggest testing with a port checker if the traccar server port can actually be accessed from the internet.. And if needed check https://www.traccar.org/troubleshooting/
And if needed also https://www.traccar.org/clones/
You should see some data in you server log, even if the device connects to the wrong server port
I would suggest you post your questions in English here (just use google translater) then you will have a bigger chance someone replies.
Hello everyone,
Thank you for your first feedback.
Indeed I know that the port of my GPS tracker is 5001.
When I go to my router I route port 5001 to 5001.
I checked with port checker and it is open.
I have no information on the logs.
So I was wondering if I should route port 5001 to another port (ex: 5055 or 8082)
The two trackers I currently use are:
Under Traccar I indicate the device ID, but nothing appears in the logs.
I routed all the ports:
5001 > 5001
5002 ...
5006 ...
5013
5015
5023
5036
5093
to the same internal ports. It is correct ? or should I route to another internal port?
Thank you !!!
I think I found my problem...
after un checkxxx, i read this :
TK919(70SALASE)_V_1.3 2023/02/11
ID:91900xxxx2
IP:www.mytkstar.net:7700
APN:free,,
GPS:7
LTE:23
+33684xxxx,,,
But how to route the 7700 to traccar?
Will the protocol be correct?
THANKS.
Didn't you say you already know the right port?
:-)
Of course !!!
When I asked at Winnes GPS for the port, they told me 5001...
That's why I tried several times, but without success...
After talking to a friend, he advised me to check the terminal and I got this result...
Thank you if you can direct me to get there because I'm stuck...
Well, from what I can tell, the device is not accepting your configuration. So it has nothing to do with Traccar.
I finally found it!!!
You will be able to update the list of devices!!!
The TK919-4G works on port 5093!!!!
I finally understood the methodology for understanding port forwarding.
I first had to 1/ update my GPS receiver with the command: adminip "password" "server ip" "port 5001"
2/ open port 5001 on my firewall
3/ forward port 5001 to port 5001
3/ once I was able to open the log and identify the protocol (SG*.....) I understood that I had to route the port of my GPS to 5093
4/ open port 5093 on the firewall to forward the 5093 to the 5093
5/ and good job!!!
Thank you so much
