Is it possible to re-program this device via UDP/TCP? Or only via SMS?
Our SIM cards are Data-Only so remote reconfiguration via internet is very important

Mictrack8 years ago

Hi Alex,Now only support SMS/USB to re-program it.

We noticed that this device uses TCP instead of UDP. If the device is unable to make a TCP connection (no signal) it saves the positions to memory and then sends them all at once to "catch up" when it is able to make a connection again. Can you provide any information on how many positions it can save in memory? Or is it limited by amount of time? What happens if the device is powered off/rebooted while offline?

Also are you able to provide more technical documentation about the TCP protocol it uses? i.e. what it expects as a response from the server, if 2-way communication is possible via TCP, etc.

Hi Alex,

the device can save about 300pcs datas when no signal and the new data will cover the old ones.
Power off/reboot will lost the data.

this is the full protocol for your check.

Hello Anton and Mictrack,

I am interested in getting a mictrack device and integrate it into traccar gps. But there is a few questions I would like to ask:

  1. What is the difference between the gts02 gps system and traccar gps?
  2. Will it be difficult to integrate your device into traccar gps?
  3. Will I have problems integrate additional tracking details like harsh braking with this device while I implement it on traccar system?

Thank you and hope to find answers.

If it's the protocol from the previous post, then it's already supported. Additional details are not supported, but it should be fairly easy to add.

Hi,

Anton's reply is correct, thank you.
Mictrack devices have compatible with Traccar; the port on traccar is 5030

Thanks,
Mictrack

Hi mictrack, you said "Hi Alex,Now only support SMS/USB to re-program it."
Where do we get the software to be able to program it by USB.
Thanks
Richard

Been looking to buy one of these devices to test and possibly use it as of the official supported devices on a tracking service I'm mounting, but the offers in eBay don't look legit at all.

Are you selling these in eBay as well?

pls buy the sample on official online shop from this link:

I'm in the U.S.A. I have a MT600. It has the correct sim card. it was programmed properly. All the correct responses are received on my phone via sms. I set the my server IP and port (5030). I cannot get it to work with Traccar software. If I take the sim card out of the MT600 and put it in a separate phone, it communicates with the Traccar software on on PC. I tried setting the correct APN or no APN. It still does not communicate back to the server. The server log contains no data, just the Startup server entries when using the MT600. the SOS button works fine and the MT600 transmits the location back to my phone via SMS but nothing on the server. Port forwarding is set correctly on the router. Any ideas? It appears that the data being transmitted to server, never reaches the router. The service is AT+T. The firewall is not restricting any data. The Traccar server is set to port 7070. It works fine with the cell phone but no data from MT600. MT600 does not transmit to the demo server in Iowa either. Need help.
