Hi,
We're a trailer rental company, we're currently using cheap trackers with a very small build in battery and an 12v connection. But the batteries have had some questionably results.
Does anyone have experience with a tracker with a build in battery, because our trailers don't have battery's themselves, but can be charged with a hard wired 12v cable? We'll use the light functions of the trailer to charge them (interval depending on trailer usage). Tracker should be waterproof, because they are going to be mounted on the underside of trailers.
When your tracker has an usb connection you could just use a powerbank to give it for instance 20 times the battery charge.
It should be for permanent mounting, with as little service needed as possible, because we have quite a lot of trailers. Some going round and charging power banks isn't much of an option. We're now using these:

12v to USB to power bank to tracker?
Thats exactly what i use, 12 volt convertor to 5v volt to charge the powerbank, tracker charged from the powerbank.
