This topic posted just for others' reference, I don't sell or represent Kingneed or this device. I just own one of them.
The Kingneed T8124 is a cheap (US$40), simple tracker (2-wire) that works with Traccar. http://amzn.com/B01449X1BW
You have to configure it to a different server, using an unpublished command "setip0000000000005002*. Just change the "000"s to the correct IP address. The "5002" is the port number the tracker will send data to on your server. The tracker appears as a TK103 device, and uses port 5002 in Traccar.
The IMEI is published on the side of the box.
Do you use full IMEI as a unique id?
Yes, I read your notes that a truncated ID was sometimes used. In this case, the full IMEI is used for this tracker.
