I tested again to install it and that's what my expression
maybe there is something that missed when loading?
[root@vpsz3l1l ~]# sudo ./traccar.run Verifying archive integrity... All good. Uncompressing traccar 100% Detected RHEL or Fedora: The traccar daemon is already installed. [root@vpsz3l1l ~]# [root@vpsz3l1l ~]# sudo /opt/traccar/bin/traccar start Starting traccar... traccar is already running.
@Ager, the server is installed successfully. Default web interface port is 8082 (not 80):
Also make sure you allow port 8082 in the firewall. CentOS usually blocks all ports by default.
I followed the steps provided however When i go to the sudo /opt/traccar/bin/traccar start it says COMMAND NOT Found..
any help would be awesome
Thanks,
Louis

Hi there!
Just have a quick question... I was able to install successfully the Traccar but it was on my IP address+8082...
How can I install it on let is say... gps.domain.com? Several people will be using this and I don't want the IP address to be open to just everyone. Looking forward to your help. Thanks!
You can configure your domain name to point to the IP address. To remove 8082, you can change web port to 80 in the config.
Your reasoning doesn't make any sense though. Do you realize that the whole point of domain name is that it resolves to the IP address, so anyone who know the domain name, would be able to get your IP address?
Hello all, thank you in advance for reading my post. I believe i have scoured the forums and internet on how to install the Traccar Server on CentOC. This thread says it all! I have however ran into a problem. I was able to install Java, that was easy. When i attempt to download and install Traccar i receive this.

I unfortunately have no idea what to make of this. Sorry in advanced.
Try to explicitly specify output file name in wget command.
Thank you sir, i was able to download and install after renaming the .zip after using the run command i now get sudo: /opt/traccar/bin/traccar: command not found
The instructions are outdated. You should follow README file instructions.
Right, you mention that just above my post. I apologize. Thank you for your help!
