Freematics Traccar not sending GPS data over sim network

andrew_hats3 months ago

Hello,

I recently purchased a Freematics Traccar edition GPS and have successfully configured it. I am using the Traccar server with a paid subscription (https://server.traccar.org/).

When the GPS device is configured to operate over Wi-Fi, it transmits location data correctly. However, when I switch to SIM mode, the device appears to be online but does not send any location data.

I tried to plug it both on USB power outlet and OBD2. The result is the same.
I also tried to reconfigure it and leave the APN empty "". Nothing worked so far.

The sim is activated and it works, if I plug it into my phone I can see that the network connectivity is on and there is signal.

This is my config.h

Thank you!

What are your APN details? Are you sure it doesn't require username and password?

andrew_hats3 months ago

The APN is "web.ho-mobile.it", I'm based in Italy and I'm using ho mobile: https://supporto.ho-mobile.it/t5/Soluzioni-per-configurare/Configuro-il-mio-Smartphone/ta-p/112

They don't require username and password. If I plug the sim in my phone, it works.

Then I'm not sure. What do you see in the Freematics logs?
