Dumb question.. TK102
You need to use a SIM card. Data is sent from device to server via GPRS.
On the device usually you need to set following things:
- APN info - ask your SIM card provider for it
- Server IP address - if you are using your own server you should know this
- Port - for TK102 try ports from the following page:

Great.. thanks for your quick response.. any sim card provider you recommend?? I've seen some companies that only offer text messages.. those won't work right??? need to have text and data right??? I just want to learn a little bit.. not really to use it a lot...
Yes, you need both SMS and data available on the SIM card.

I just ordered a TK102 on ebay, and I'm still kind of confuse how this thing works... how the device will send the data to the server or how the server will get it?? just withe gps satellites ? or I need to use the sim card and it will use the gprs network to send the data to the server??? one more thing.. what should I configure on the device in order to the server be able to get the location???
