Hello!,
I see several devices are supported, can you please recommend on for these use cases?
Usecase A: Child tracking
- smallest possible
- LTE support
- good battery
- buffering/resending and out of order delivery
Usecase B: Car with OBD-II
- Good OBD-II data support (various car brands)
- LTE support
- good GPS connectivity
- buffering/resending and out of order delivery
- not killing car battery when car stopped
- nice to have: own battery
Usecase C: Car without OBD-II
- LTE support
- good GPS connectivity
- buffering/resending and out of order delivery
- not killing car battery when car stopped
- nice to have: own battery
Usecase D: food basket temperature tracking
- BLE/Lorawan based
- long lasting battery (multi.month)
- accurate temperature
- capable of working inside a closed fridge
- buffering/resending history
- hub/gateway reporting entries with its GPS location.
Note: I'm not even sure Traccar supports the use case though (low power iot sensor + gateway/hub responding data)
Please don't duplicate topics.
@Cyrus For child tracking, you can try the new Mictrack MT710 tracker, which supports CAT M1 & NB-IoT (fallback to 2G) with long battery life.
Looks perfect for the use case. Unluckily, there's not Cat M1 service in my country.
I've been investing and besides "regular LTE" the service providers can only do Cat 1.
