Device TK911

Hi,

I have a gps for my dog, the device is a tk911. Someone has tried? When I configure the device appers the message "the device is offline"

Can anyone tell if the TK911 device works with traccar? Looks like a good device for dogs and I would like to try it out

I got this device now and try to make it work with traccar. Unfortunately until now I don't get any messages in the traccar log.

This is the correct SMS command list for the device I have: https://www.simmotrade.com/app/download/7659831411/SMSCommand.pdf?t=1581342607 In this doc, the default port should be 9876

Since this device is labled as TKStar as well, I found this thread and tried everything from there: https://www.traccar.org/forums/topic/how-identify-protocol-on-a-chinese-tracker/

I tried ports 5001, 5013 and 5023

I assume traccar is not listening on port 9876?

Any other ideas what to try?

The Device itself is pretty cool so it would be very sad if we can't make it to work with traccar.

Have you followed troubleshooting guide? Please provide results.

Also, why haven't you tested other recommended ports?

I tested all ports now, nothing appears in traccar log

I set my device back to defaults and forwarded port 9876 to my Traccar server, with that I found the following entries in the log:

OK, so now you just need to test the ports.

I did test all ports from https://www.traccar.org/clones/

I see the same entries in logfile with port 9876 and 5013. But nothing useable in this HEX-message.

OK, please provide a log with port 5093.

ok, with port 5093 it works now. I don't understand why it didn't work earlier today when I tested all ports because I did nothing different now.

Anyway, here's the log - it may helps better supporting this device:

I can confirm that TK911 (Pro) is working with Port 5093
