Cradlepoints - caching GPS records....

kengeroo8 years ago

We have a fleet of cradlepoints IBR600 and IBR1100, that primary are in Canada.
They often go into the states and lose cellular data connectivity as roaming is disabled.

I configured them to cache up to 10,000 GPS records when cellular connectivity is not available.
reporting inetrval is set to 120 seconds..

I can see when they enter the states connectivity is lost..
But when they return they do not upload the cached GPS records...

I have contacted cradlepoint and have verified my configuration...

Is there anything on the traccar server that would not allow this ? or I must change to allow ??? thx

You don't need to configure anything on the server side. Note that server just waits for the data; it doesn't request anything.

yep,,,
the cradlepointws configured to push GPS records to the traccar server..

It works great when they are in Canada (have cellular connectivity)...

Just wondering if there was anything on the server side that may choke when the cradlepoints come back to Canada and receive hundreds of records from the cradlepoints....

No, there must be some issue on the device side.

is there a method to conduct verbose logging of the GPS input? I’d like to know if Traccar was rejecting GPS packets due to possible malformed attributes/structure.

All the data is recorded in the log file, even if it's not decoded.
