Computed Attribute calculation

Hi,

Is it possible to compute the following using computed attribute or it needs coding:

We need to subtract the value of two parameters/attributes acquired at a difference in time:
i.e. parameter value (now) - parameter value (1 hour ago or so).

If it is possible using computed attribute can you please guide me as to how this can be obtained?
