Hi,

Is it possible to enter a URL instead of the IP?
The tracker currently runs only with current IP and port 55001

When trying to enter a URL, displayed only 0.0.0.0:0 (check via sms)

Hi Tracer,

You can enter your domain using SMS command only as following:
dns+password+space+yourdomain+space+port

example(dns123456 www.traccar.org 5001)

since Coban default password is 123456 and it's port is 5001

thanks for your help! I use traccar Server on my synology ds414 i have to use Port 55001!

My SMS result "dns format error, port over!"

I send "dns123456 my-domain.ddns.net 55001"

Where are my mistake's

I am not familiar with "synology ds414" system, but why you have to use 55001?

Since you did no change to "Traccar" files, you have to use port 5001. All you need to do is to allow accessing it from the firewall in your control panel by adding port 5001 in the list.

If you did any change to "Traccar" files you have to provide more information.

note: I may add Http:// by fault before the domain, no need for it.

reason for the port usage, the Synology Diskstation uses this port bandwidth (5000-50xx), for this reason, the ports for Traccar were changed to 55000-550XX.

I have tried in the meantime different variants of the dns entry with http// (with or without).
I get always the same notification “dns format error, port over!”

The firewall has the accessing for the named ports

Hello everyone,

I have still the same problem...
I can't enter alphanumeric characters (adminip) for the Traccar server, only numeric characters are possible!

Does somebody still have an idea???
