I would personally recommend using DigitalOcean instead because the interface is more intuitive and the hardware performance is better, but Lightsail or any other VPS provider is also fine. We also use Hetzner for some server and it's even better value for money.
No worries, thanks for making such a great platform. I already have a bunch of resources on AWS so that was a big factor in my VPS selection.
Out of interest, do you know what kind of tracking client capacity these cheap VPS instances are capable of?
It mostly depend on your device settings. If you set reporting frequency to 1 second instead of 5 minutes, the load will be 300x.
Totally fair, I'll have to do some real world testing and just let friends use my server until it reaches its limits.
