Hello All,

Would appreciate your recommendations or experience based feedback on which is the best OBD II tracker that supports wide array of CAN data and diagnostics. (Preferably 4G based)

I have no direct experience of this, but Mictrack seems to come up fairly often and could be researched.

We are in the same boat, having to replace all our 2G/3G trackers with 4G units (tracking data fed from a legacy tracking system to Traccar currently) in the next few years.
Many of our trackers are OBDII units: once these are replaced we would switch off our legacy system.

A little research would do no harm! MicTrack is NB-IoT based device and based on their website it does not support CAN data or diagnostics.

Looking for solid suggestions based on experience, information that can be useful to other members as well..

Actually, they have both NB-IoT and LTE trackers that connect to the OBD plug for power.

I assume you have experience of OBDII trackers / devices in the past?

As far as wide support of CAN / OBD diagnostics goes, in my past experience across several models of trackers, this varies widely from region to region, and by manufacturer / model.
In South Africa, the last few OBD tracker models we have used bring in useful data from only a few vehicle models, whereas the same tracker when used in our North America fleets reports useful data from a majority of vehicles we track.

Good luck with getting hardware recommendations here, I have not had much success in the past. I would suggest that you do as much of your own research as possible, and then test as thoroughly as possible.

Let's not digress from the purpose of the topic/question !
Let's leave the topic open and spam-free, for anyone interested in contributing meaningful and valuable information on OBDII product recommendations.

@SwayDev,

I use Teltonika FMC003 devices (4G) on Toyota Hilux that works well.
You can read all about it on their wiki page plus see compatable devices and what you can read via obd.
