Yes, it uses whatever timezone settings you have in your browser.
There is no way to change this? That's one of the big differences between Traccar and our legacy tracking system. We manage vehicles across multiple timezones on 2 continents, and it gets a bit confusing not to be able to see the vehicle's data in it's home timezone.
Anton,
Thanks for confirming that, so what is the timezone field under User form is used for ? same question for the timezone attribute under Device form ?

No. In my opinion it is confusing to see different timezones at the same time.
so what is the timezone field under User form is used for ?
User for some backend stuff. For example, reports export.
same question for the timezone attribute under Device form ?
It is used for device timezone conversion. When device reports data not in UTC.
No. In my opinion it is confusing to see different timezones at the same time.
In our case, it's confusing when our call center sees a different time to what the customer (in a different timezone) is seeing: It makes working out issues very difficult.
Having the user Timezone (on the backend) work differently to the browser timezone in the UI is a little non-intuitive to me, but other's may disagree. Our legacy system uses the vehicle timezone in reporting, and we have had no issues with understanding what is going on.
In a future release, an optional switch to be able to view reports and tracking by a vehicle or group timezone, so we can talk the same times with our customers.
You're welcome to submit a feature request. But it's a very big change, so we would need to gauge the interest first before we consider something like this.
Where the webgui take time that it presents from
My server is setwith UTC time, the device is set with UTC time and Im trying to see it on GMT-4 (so i have set the account to that region) but it always shows on GMT-3 which is the same time of my computer. Does it source the timezone from your local computer somehow ?
