Chinese TK306

Got a couple of these devices for $19 each...

And got them working with traccar using hologram sim cards.

They report over port 5023. But the documentation is very minimal and in tiny font. Biggest issue is that they seem to be pretty unreliable. They go offline randomply in the middle of trips. For example... for a trip to my gym and back home... the trip to the gym will report perfectly, but the trip home will have huge gaps. Result is a 9km trip one way and a 2.5km trip the back.... LOL.

I'm putting these on the back burner in favor of trying a couple CalAmp devices. If anyone has any additional programming info on these, let me know.

Also, if anyone has any ODB based devices that are solid and inexpensive for mileage tracking, let me know. I need about 200 and would prefer to not spend $100+ per device.

Hey @Ken. I have a unit of the same tracker and it usually takes a long time to get a fix and does loose connection easily.
I have tried Teltonika FMB020 OBD, under $40, very reliable and connects to BLE devices etc.
