CBD causing no stops or trips

James Reeda year ago

Hi Guys,
I have a device that im testing at the moment and everything runs fine until I tested CBD driving/stops.
I was parked in the city for about 1 hour at one location and then another location for about 4 hours.

If I look at trips there is a gap from 745AM to 205PM and no stop is recognised either.
If I check replay I can see the location fine.

Is this a common issue with condensed city zones or is could something else be causing this?

All stops and trips worked outside the city zone.

Thanks in advance

Impossible to tell without details. Are you using fast reports (>1 day)?

Hi Anton,
I will try to provide as much detail as possible.
I am running version 5.9, I have not changed anything in the configuration relating to reporting so whatever is the default of 5.9 is what it's set to.

The report I am running is "Today", my drive was today and I ran the report today.
All other trips and stops seem to work perfectly through out the day apart from the city.

I just ran an "Events" report and it says the device went offline at 935am and came back online at 1:57PM

  • This makes sense why there would be stops or trips BUT I was watching the device live when I was in the city to make sure it was working.
I can also see the full trip in "replay"

I am using a h02 protocol device

  • GPRS Active Upload time 10sec - Sleep Upload time: 300sec
  • Sleep active in 60sec

traccar.xml the has the following

  • Database details
  • Email details
    Others:

60

80

sorry just to elaborate on the stops that were registered:

In Replay start stops were:

If the reports are for <= 1 day, this logic will be used:

I understand, and its working correctly but what is confusing me 5 stops that worked to the 2 that didn't?

It's only the 2 that were not registered that were in the city. I thought I would ask the question and see if anyone else has experianced the same kind of issue in busy cities and if there is a way to combat it. I'm thinking it must be an interruption of service?

This is a full report

Anyway, I am going to test tomorrow by stopping at different locations throughout the city and see how that pans out.
Sorry for a long post. Just trying to understand if its something that I can control or not, I'm new to all this :)

You really need to look at the raw data (for example route report) and see what happened there. For example, it's possible that GPS location is fluctuating more in the city because of the reflected GPS signal from tall building.
