Version 5.8 - Error creating custom computed attribute

Hi all

i recently upgraded my server from 4.8 to 5.8
(Windows Server 2019 / MS SQL Server 2019)

on the old version a had a set of custom computed attributes that migrated to the new version fine and are working as expected
however when i try to create a new one via the web interface - that is i give my own name to the attribute - i get the following error

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'attribute', table 'Traccar.dbo.tc_attributes'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. - SQLServerException (... < QueryBuilder:469 < DatabaseStorage:95 < BaseObjectResource:72 < ...)

i tested it on my backup server and i get the same error

any pointers will be welcomed before i plant what i need directly to the database
