Server requirements for 2000 devices

In a cloud server you can scale up or build your own server.
I will build my own server what requirements are needed
Depends on things like reporting frequency.
If you were to use a VPS, this is what I use CLOUD VPS XL by Contabo.
I have roughly 2000 devices with some devices at 10 and some at 20 seconds update intervals.

Just out of interest, how high is your cpu load when most devices are online?
And memory used by java (traccar) and your sql database?
I do not ' have exact numbers, however, a quick check right now shows the following.
approximately 800 devices are currently sending locations at intervals of 20 seconds
approximately another 500 devices are online and connected to the server sending heartbeat packets every 3 minutes (stationary)
The current CPU displayed is between 1 to 1.5%. (Typically the CPU load is less than 1%)
Memory is at 3.51 GB / 58.8 GB

Yes, Ubuntu 20.04.
