New member Looking for guidance

Martin Isaac2 years ago

Hi
I’ve just come across this platform and believe it will help me achieve my aim.
But I am only just starting out and not sure what information and how I obtain it from my current trackers so I can then add then to this platform to access them properly
I have many TKStar devices mainly TK905 and TK905B TK905mini which I’d like to add

If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated

Do they come with any documentation? It should have details on how to configure them.

The devices work perfectly using the TKSTAR app or web portal log in.

It’s not knowing how I can add them correctly to this platform is where I’m after some guidance

From Traccar side all you need to do is register your devices with correct identifiers. Then you need to configure devices themselves to start reporting data to the server. For the second part you need to refer to the device vendor documentation.

For TK905 I did the following:

Change default Password 123456 to my own:
password123456 yourpwd -> Password Ok

Change url from TKSTAR to your domain running traccar with port 5093, (do not mention http)
adminip<yourpwd> mytracker.mydomain.nl 5093 -> adminip OK

I enabled shock mode:
shock<yourpwd> -> shock ok

I enabled every 15 second an upload:
upload<yourpwd> 15 -> upload ok

I enabled my local timezone:
timezone<yourpwd> +1 -> time ok (remark is NL Timezone)

And the data should arrive at your traccar install

Sandor
Thanks for the reply/help
I have followed your information and I’m getting half a result but still with issues
The tracker is showing as online for a short period of time but it isn’t showing the GPS location then goes to stating last online a few seconds ago and then longer

Please have a look at your server log and look for the incoming messages of your tracker.

Tip: To help you getting to know how it works in addition install the Traccar app on your mobile phone and have it talk to the server as well. (keep in mind different port!)

Incoming messages can be decoded with: hex-decoder
Let's have a look in what data comes in ;-) shall we.

Sorry i don't speak english well. We are trying to get the TK950B to be recognized by the traccar server but we are having problems. We have already used the Traccar server with some mobile phones through the app we installed on these and they work fine, but we can't figure out how to get into the TK950B to set the traccar server address and port to start transmission of the data as we did for cell phones. Can you give us some help?
Thanks

Sounds like the password is wrong.

Hello Antonov
it seems like this but it is impossible because it is the same password with which we access both in the mobile application and on the portal https://mytkstar.net/
