Hi!
As previously noted in some threads that I´ve been browsing, the documentation is a bit lacking for when it comes how to configure devices, even conceptually. I understand that each has its own protocol and I understand what server I need to connect to. I do not however understand when or if its necessary to do any in-depth editing.
For example I stumbled on this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEDck8l7uLc
For this device the creator of the video is using an other service than Traccar.
He simply plugs the device in, enters details such as server port, apn, etc needed for say the SIM card and in my case forexample the demo servers of traccar.org and is then done.
As can be noted the device "FMB920 " is supported here: https://www.traccar.org/devices/
My question in TLDR format is: Can I basically follow this guide (using what ever interface/sms based configuration) any "supported" tracker has to make it work with Traccar.org?
Thanks!
You need to register your device on the server first. And then you can follow that guide.
