If no satellite fix use LBS instead

BeeHiveTracking2 years ago

Hi All,

From what I can tell the GPS tracker I am using (NT06E) will re send the last known location IF no satellite fix has been made.

From the Hex file I can see the GSM signal strength is 22 and Satellite fix is 0.

Is there a way to say If 0 satellites present use LBS data instead of last known GPS location?

Thanks

Does the device report GPS location as valid even without satellites?

BeeHiveTracking2 years ago

Hi Anton,

I am very slowing trying to decode the Hex file.

From what I can tell, Yes valid location without satellites.

Thanks

Hi Anton,

I have heard back from the manufacture and the device is sending "unprecised positioning=no positioning"

But on the web interface it is showing as valid.

I have the communication Protocol file, decoded Hex and screenshots. Would you like me to share these and what is the best way for you to view?

Thanks
Trent

Does the location have an old timestamp?

BeeHiveTracking2 years ago

Hi Anton,

Just checked todays log file.

We have timestamp dated today 21/7/2022.

The device is reporting 0 satellites found and no positioning fix.

Thanks

That doesn't really answer the question.

The device is sending a new timestamp.

Then it sounds like invalid location, but device marks it as valid. What device and protocol is this?

BeeHiveTracking2 years ago

The device is Kingwo NT06E, protocol is upro. With the location data from the device, it is sending a invalid GPS Flag.

Anton Tananaev2 years ago

So is it a device issue then?

BeeHiveTracking2 years ago

The data from the device says 0 satellites and unprecise positioning. From this Traccar marks this as valid.

What part of the upro protocol does Traccar pickup if the GPS location is valid or invalid?

This is what I have from the protocol document. "F" is the section the says valid or invalid

You should upload the proper documentation somewhere. This copy paste is not really readable.
