Problem with Upgrading Traccar Server on Ubuntu Server

spel7 years ago

Hello,

I stopped Traccar Server and made a copy of the two database files. I made copies of default.xml and traccar.xml, too.

Then I remove Traccar (Uninstall: https://www.traccar.org/linux/) and reinstall (https://www.traccar.org/linux/ -> https://github.com/tananaev/traccar/releases/download/v3.16/traccar-linux-3.16.zip).
Before start service (sudo /opt/traccar/bin/startDaemon.sh) I copied the database-files to /opt/traccar/data and the two XMLs to /opt/traccar/conf.

Then I start service/reboot but I can only see the rotating blue circle. The login mask does not appear.

Thank you for help!

Christoph

One problem I see straight away is that you kept old default.xml. You can't do that. You need to upgrade it.

Hello Anton,

thank you for your quick help! That was the problem. I had in the default.xml all unused ports removed. Now everyone works again.

Thank you very much!
