Are you using Traccar Client? What OS?
Traccar Client or other Apps (like mine) work in background too.
You have to make some settings in the device.

We are using Traccar Client and the device is samsung samsung tab a7. I have the same problem on my cell phone. It appears offline 30 minutes after locking the device's screen.
Unfortunately, the battery life is more important for the manufacturers than the function of the apps. Background apps are sometimes switched off.
We have tested many devices (some Android tabs) and mostly the app runs stable in the background.
Please make all the settings as described and read dontkillmyapp.

As you said in the settings, there is this problem only when using Traccar, I want it to send a signal when the phone is locked in the background, but it does not
With Samsung S7, S9, S10 and Huawei you will have more problems than with other phone and tabs.
Guys, try Zenroad it works in the background and it is self-launched even after forced close. The app has very low battery drain and supports multiple tracking modes:
- Trip log - telematics data is captured and kept on a smartphone level until you finish your trip, then transfer data to the platform (it works regardless the network coverage)
- Realtime tracking - telematics data is captured and broadcasted in real-time to the Traccar platform.
When you don't use the tablet, it goes offline after 30 minutes. If I turn on the tablet, it goes online. I want it to stay on all the time, how can we do that?
