Google Maps are very far from open source. It's not open source. It's not free. And it has very restrictive licensing.
It is possible to use Google Maps with Traccar:
https://www.traccar.org/map-layers/
... but be warned that you have to have a permission from Google to use tile server directly.
Thanks a lot Anton for the clarification.
@Anton Tananaev:
Sry for my questions, but I am absolute Traccar newbie.
I have successfully installed Traccar Server 4.14 on a RaspberryPi, and can also see my iPhone as a Traccar client. So far everything is good.
But now I want to integrate the Google Maps, and fail mentally on the procedure.
How do I insert where the Google link, so that I have besides OSM also the maps from Google.
(Yes, I have read your license hint!).
The Bing Maps are unfortunately also not displayed - here the background remains only white!
Maybe @BerndFfm can also help in German?
Thanks in advance!

@Anton and @Bernd:
Ignore my Questions ... I have found a solution for this problem!
Bing Maps req. a Dev-Api-Key from MS ... and Google-Link is a Server-Setting!

Hi,
When i look at the application i can see lot of open source maps listed such as open street map, open navi etc. My question is whether Google Maps are supported ? Sorry if it is a bad question, but i assume that Google maps also is open source?
