How does the server decide offline or online status of a car
Status indicates status of a TCP connection between device and server.
If that is the case,does it mean,the server pings every now and then to the ip of the tracking device?. If so,how does one know the ip of the tracking device?.
It doesn't ping device. Please read about TCP protocol if you don't know how it works.
I am curious about how traccar knows whether a car is offline or online. What are the rules that the server uses to arrive at an offline or online status?.
