Unknown device

Hi all,

Picked up a cheap tracker (link below), set up APN and IP, tried on port 5013, as documentation gives no indication of port, so tried what my other trackers use, and can't get the device to wok. I have no idea how to compare the HEX examples, would someone be able to help please?

How did you pick the port and why didn't you try other? Try port 5064.

Thanks Anton. I picked the port due to my other trackers (different models) using it and I tried some of the ones from the clones page with no success (5013, 5002, 5023).

Is it possible my identifier is wrong? I'm using the full 15 digit IMEI number.

Incidentally, since changing port to 5064,i got a large chunk of data in the log:

You simply haven't registered your device:

Unknown device - 867232050131037

Please make sure you read documentation available on the website, especially related to troubleshooting.

The device is registered under 'devices' with these details :

Name: Test
Identifier: 867232050131037

But Status shows as 'offline'

I suspect that you configured device first and then registered it. You have to do it the other way around. Now you need to wait till device reconnects.

Thank you Anton for your help, that is what I done wrong. I restarted the server and device came online. I was travelling at 60mph today, and got a notification saying I was exceeding the speed limit, at 143.5mph! No idea why the Speed and Total Distance attributes are showing incorrectly. The device constantly shows Valid also, even with the ignition off and not moving.
