Does the sim card you are using support calls?
Yes, an it has credit on it, so I don't THINK it is that, I set the SIM card up in a mobile phone and it accepted and made calls in that. Thanks for the reply Karl!
Try to check device log:

Thanks, the configurator allows a log dump of ten minute duration without Bluetooth so i have made a log file whilst dialling it 3 times. i don't know if it's appropriate to show it here, or if you are able to decipher it, if it's permissible I will do so, but meanwhile I'll upload it to the Teltonika support group. Much appreciated Piotr!
As there appears to be no objection here is a log of 10 minutes during which 1 phoned the device three times from my cell phone, interpreting it is beyond me :) Any insight appreciated! http://www.chriswilson.tv/log.txt
I covered your phone number with: xxxxxxxx
The device seems to be trying to send an SMS:

I found CMS Error 21 means 'Short message transfer rejected'
No idea why . Try to enter telephone number with +country_prefix.
Thanks for taking the time to look at this, sadly changing the number to International format did not help, a similar error is reported. I will try getting in touch with EE here in the UK, my mobile service provider. much appreciated Piotr :)
I have a vehicle with a new Teltonika FBM920 installed with latest firmware and using the latest configurator. it all works fine EXCEPT dialling it from a listed mobile or land line fails to get an SMS response citing its location. Sending an SMS of ggps gets an sms message in return showing its location, just dialling it with the menu set to "return position" does nothing. Nor will it sms alerts to movement or whatever if that is set in the menus. Any one any ideas what's up please? Thanks! I asked on the Teltonika public support forum and no one knows, but you are better than them ;)
