Trying to install server on Synology NAS

Dany5 years ago

Hi,
I'm new to Traccar.
I installed Traccar on a Windows 10 Pro PC to test it and I am delighted with the operation.
Now I’m trying to install it on a Synology NAS but I can’t get to the web interface.
Looking at the tracker-server.log file, I see only this:

2019-12-30 21:06:11 INFO: Operating system name: Linux version: 3.10.105 architecture: arm
2019-12-30 21:06:11 INFO: Java runtime name: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM vendor: Oracle Corporation version: 25.231-b11
2019-12-30 21:06:11 INFO: Memory limit heap: 121mb non-heap: 0mb
2019-12-30 21:06:11 INFO: Character encoding: UTF-8 charset: UTF-8
2019-12-30 21:06:11 INFO: Version: 4.0-SNAPSHOT

and that's all !
Looks like the server won’t boot.
Do you have any idea where that might come from?
Thank you in advance

I forgot to mention that I followed the instructions on https://www.traccar.org/synology/

Hi,
I would like to thank you for your many contributions...
Anyway, I want to help those which will end up in the same case as me.
The installation package does not create the database. Just create a database called "traccar" using phpMyAdmin
Next, you must change the user and password of the /volume1/@appstore/traccar/conf/traccar.xml file ("root" and your root password instead of "traccar" and "traccar").
And finally, run the command "java -jar tracker-server.jar conf/traccar.xml" from the directory "/volume1/@appstore/traccar" (you must be logged in as "root").
Have a good day and thank you all again !

Hey Dany,

I'm struggling with this too. Followed your instructions but cannot access the web interface, just getting connection refused.

Looking at the traccar database in phpMyAdmin there are no tables which I understood the app would create so suspecting this is a clue!

The traccar server log is showing same as your post above.

Any help appreciated!
