What is type filed used for in maintenance menu

May I know what for is the Type drop down in maintenance menu? Screenshot below:

Also, I saw before it was not possible to configure more than one maintenance event per device. Is this possible now?

Friend, the server type for you to choose who will dismiss the maintenance alert. For example, I want an alert to remember to change the engine oil after completing 1500 km traveled, in which case I will choose (Type) o (Odometer) and put the current value of KM and then the total value including 1500KM, when it reach the total of KM it will trigger the alert!

Do you know whether it is possible to configure more than one maintenance event per device?

Also, is it possible to create maintenance for certain date, i.e. vehicle payment on 20th October?

Yes, you can create multiple maintenance alerts associated with which devices you want.
As for the possible alert to remind you of the monthly payment, I believe it is possible with Calculated Attributes, however imagine if you have 1000 devices registered, it would be impossible to do this control, linking such payment to such device.
The best way is always to put the maturities in a single day, I usually give up the days before the maturity. So the customer is happy and I have all devices expiring on the same day.
I like the customer to understand that the service is prepaid he pays to use, so he pays attention to the payment.

It is a good tip, what you noted about tracking 1000 devices maturity date.

How do you do it at your side, I mean the days before maturity, do you give those in the application or outside, i.e. like email reminder?

I understand, so I do not need to monitor anything, because let's say you hire the service on the 22nd, so until the 05th or 10th, which are the possibilities that I offer the customer to choose the due date, there will be no charge. Then the service I pay to handle billing and payment control is responsible for sending the bill to you. This service offers my client the possibility of generating a new interest slip to pay the outstanding monthly payment. So the answer is no, I do this control through Santander!
