Delete or retrieve "old" device

Hi,

very nice server, and very easy to install ! I spent a week on trying to let OpenGTS work, it never happened. Traccar worked in less than a minute.

I have an issue :

  • I log in as admin
  • setup a tracking client with his unique identifier
  • then if I there is some issue with the server, or if I create a new admin and delete the old one
  • It is impossible to Add a device with the same unique ID. I think as it is in the database, it is fucked up.

I have the chance for the time being to use an android client, so I can change the unique identifier. But when I will use a TK102 tracker or so, I think it will be lost forever, isn't it ? And for the moment, I don't know how to play in the tables to clean them up.

another issue, it seems impossible as a used to get access to the data stored with old Unique Identifiers.

It's a known problem. When you remove device in some cases it only removes the link between the user and the device, but the device is still in the database. It will be fixed in the new web interface release.
