We have several android tablets as clients which track workers. They are setup to use openstreetmaps to report geolocation.
We also use google maps for drivers to navigate, and we need to leave wifi running on the tablets so that the maps will download/update every 30 days when the tablets are in the office connected to our lan network. This needs to be done so drivers can navigate when cell signal is weak or nonexistent.
I think these tablets will not connect to any other network.
Should having the wifi activated interfere with traccar reporting to server?
There have been continuing issues with clients not reporting and the client app needing to be turned off and on again to restart reporting. Of course there are also issues when cell signal is weak.
Just trying to track down best possible .... thanks, Mike
