Can anybody tell me:-

@John Williams
The firmware upgrade tool should work, but the management tool will probably not work.
You should instead use this tool, doc and firmware:

Good News.
Thank You.
Sorry, I should have asked before:-
@John Williams
I really don't know, sorry. I don't have personal experience with the GL300A.
For the GL300MA the name for the "Develop_Suit" seems to be GL300M, but I have no personal experience with the GL300M(A/E/C) as well.
For the GL300ME one can find a version of the "Develop_Suit", but it might be a special bug fix version or something.
I really don't know, because, as I said, I have no personal experience with these devices.
For everyone: Download the "Doc_and_Tool" of the possibly matching "Develop_Suit" versions and read the documentations, it might help you.
i.e.:
For the GL300MA could be this:

http://www.queclink.com/sites/default/files/GL300M_1713_Develop_Suit_R20A06V02_Eng_(Firmware)_6ku4.zip
or this:

http://www.queclink.com/sites/default/files/GL300M_Develop_Suit_R03A03V09_Eng_(Firmware)_8p9r.zip
I don't know what the R03 or R20 refers to.
For the GL300ME:

@Fung
Many Thanks for all that information.
My GL300A does not arrive until next week, so I can not try anything until then.
The firmware upgrade documentation says that each device type has its own upgrade cable.
So, Data Cable 'M' for the GL300 - which I have. (The GL300 has a UART connector)
But I don't even know the type code for the GL300A. (The GL300A has a micro USB connector)
any ideas?
I get got a Windows 10 error message about not being able to find the correct driver, so that may be all that I need.
Progress!
The firmware upgrade tool detects that it has a USB connection and I have then been able to upgrade the firmware.
@Fung
Once again, many thanks for all your help.
I have now re-configured the tracker using SMS and it is now talking to my server using GPRS.
I can do further configuration changes using GPRS from my server, so all is good.
On the downside, I have not yet got the Queclink Manage Tool working. It seems to need a UART data cable and, as I said above, the tracker has a USB connection. Not a real problem for me as the GPRS is now working.
I was just looking at your last message again (cleaning up my mails ;-) ) and I realized your downside.
In the doc for the Management Tool is written, that you need a UART to USB cable and the drivers, for the UART-card in the cable, installed.
Read the manual for the DOC tool it lists all steps needed.
Many Thanks.
I can not try this as the GL300A is many hundreds of miles away - working fine with GPRS.
But I am not so sure it is going to work, anyway. You are right that the document shows how to configure a UART cable and the software gives the options to configure the UART interface as described in the document.
But the tracker physically has a micro-USB connection.
As I said, this is no problem for me as I now configure it using GPRS.
Hi Everyone,
Have any of you found a good firmware image for the GL300MA?
The ones I found in this link 'https://pastebin.com/drgrjnkQ' for the GL300M do not contain an actual image it seems, on a file with the extension .ENC
Any help would be greatly appreciated here.
I found and bought the GPS GL300MA (w/ Default Password), Data_Cable_M, Docs, SW, and FW In US with fast delivery on:

The Quick Start Settings alone won't be enough to get you started. You will need to set FRI as well. The easiest way to get a bare-bones configuration on the device is to use the "Quick Setting Wizard." Most likely, the wizard will open automatically when you start the Manager Tool, or you can open it from the menu bar.
