I'm able to read and configure my GL300MA using the Manage Tool 1.3 and default password except for the "Bearer Setting Information" (GTBSI) when I want to modify the APN.
I get the following error: "Save settings failed. The reason is ERROR."
Any clue why sending every other parameter is successful except for GTBSI?
I tried rebooting, reconnecting, and removing the SIM card but no luck. I'm considering flashing the firmware but it's currently running a much newer version than what you shared.

All users of spytec gl300 device...try password "NyC212"...i bought from spytec and somehow they told me the pass.
Iam not so familiar with all those things. I pluged a cable from the go pro camera and I can hear the connection sound on my windows 10. Than a message will appear it says the device has not connected. And when I open the program it dont connect with COM1.
Can anyone help me with a video tutorial?

You need a special cable. That cable should have a PL2303 build in. (Or something similar.)
This is because the Queclink GL300 devices (and maybe other Queclinks, too) are using UART on their USB-port. Another UART to USB adapter could work as well, but the PL2303 normally is sold as a "Queclink GL300 cable".
The cable is also sold as Queclink Data Cable 'M'

I have already ordered a new cable from here and hope it will work with this cable. Do you have any further instructions how to change te port settings of the gps device?

I tried with 3 different data cables and each time I get a warning. It says 'Please configure COM settings first. GL manage tool.'
When I try to do this in the main page in the application, I can't select any COM. Its emtpty in the list. I only see password: gl300 and baudrate 9600.
How can I configure the COM settings?
So now I have the Original cable from the manufacturer. I have to install the settings. I use t-mobile simcard for this device with simcard code unlocked and data on it. Any idea what APN this profider use? And other settings?
When I plug in the device and start it up, I will get a message that 'the current firmware is not suitable to work with this version GL300 manage tool. It seems more lower'.

Do not worry too much about the firmware version. Lots of things will still work.
Try everywhere as the APN.
