Trouble identifying protocol for Kids Smart Watch Q90 ?

Hi, firstly sorry ! I've been trying for a while now to identify which protocol the 9tong GPS watch clone uses (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B078W5DFL6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) the manual in the box suggests it is a q90 device so suspected its the 'watch protocol on port 5093' I've tried this port and a number of other ports with no success and when looking at the HEX and decoding it I just see ' ÿAQSH'

In the past all the trackers I've used once decoded I've been able to tell which protocol it uses but this device just doesn't give anything helpful, do you have any pointers to troubleshooting this further ?

I'm not sure if it's supported. You would need to get protocol documentation for your device.

I'll try and get hold of it in the mean time I wondered why I don't see anything in hex decoder, is it because its a binary protocol or the fact that it isn't supported ?

It's a binary protocol.

9Tong are being less than helpful, they say it will only work with their SETracker app :( I see others have managed to move SE tracker devices to traccar using the watch protocol on the same ports :(

Did anyone succeed to decode this?

I had a skype chat with someone from the factory. It turnes out there are 2 versions of the watch:

1. the same "text" protocol traccar uses
2. the binary software-encrypted protocol we see in this thread.

We got the software encrypted version, and the only way to switch "off" the encryption is by flashing the ROM, so the only thing we can do is to send it back and ask for one without the encryption or to use it with the SeTracker app :(

Another option is to get information on that new encrypted protocol.

Here they told me they can send unencrypted watches (must ask for it): https://www.4p-touch.com/Highly-welcome-Kids-GPS-Tracker-Watch-with-multiple-accurate-positions-D15-pd49189266.html but the problem is that they have $25 shipping cost :(

Maybe you should ask the seller in advance... Hopefully you'll find one who knows. And even if not then make it sure in the messages that you can only buy an unencrypted watch and only buy if they tell you it's going to be like that, that way hopefully you can get your money back if it's encrypted...
