Feature request: show accuracy range on map

ExaminatO 8 years ago

Hi

Is it possible to add an option to show the accuracy range as a circle around a (live) position point on the map?

Example:
0-20 meter = no ring
20-50 meter = 50 meter ring
50-100 meter = 100 meter ring
100-500 meter = 500 meter ring
500-1000 meter = 1000 meter ring

This can be usefull to see in a glance wether the position is GPS accurate or not.

Thanks

The feature you are asking for has been available in Traccar for a long time.

Hi Anton

Can you please tell me where I can find this? As far as I know you only can see the accuracy in text in the status menu.

Thanks

It should show it on the map.

Hi, there is a problem with accuracy - when accuracy is 50KM , on a map i see 50m circle: alt text

I'm sorry to come back to you that late, but I'm wondering if you have to enable the accuracy ranges to be shown on the map. I don't see rings like in the screenshot from rimas.

ExaminatO, please keep in mind a problem i mentioned earlier. Radius of circle is calculated wrong, so you need to set a realy big number to "accuracy" field to see a circle.

Are you sure that the problem is with circle and not with number?

as you can see in "state" list, accuracy is 50km (positions.accuracy=50000), but circle radius is only 50m (see scale on map)

Will this be fixed?
