I would recommend you to reference some MDM documentation for those who don't know what it is.
Here is one that does 20 licenses for free https://www.manageengine.com/
I dont represent them nor trying to sell anything and I am sure there are others out there but the idea is the same manage all mobile devices under one roof.
I thought we were discussing official Google API. Not sure how this link is relevant to anything.
anton: can you briefly explain how Google API relates to MDM?
My understanding was that we are talking about Google device management:
is it possible Raj is giving you a link of something already in place or working?
and, is this something google offers? how are you interested in developing MDM to further to help traccar?
Raj: I am interested to understand your idea--send me a note via anton!
Hi trakinguser445,
the "https://www.manageengine.com/" users the api of the app to do and push configurations. The mdm application is connected to google work play and gets all the android apps from there. So if Anton gets the funds to work on the traccar android app so that it get better intergrade with google play "https://play.google.com/work?hl=en" it should allow those setting like remote setup of the traccar app by allowing to populate the server details etc. This could be a real good thing to have in an environment where admins dont want users to have to manually configure the app due to skills etc. Would you be interested to chip in this bounty please?
+1 You take the lead--give me your mail or ask anton to send you mine.
Ok i will email anton.
I can even setup a test server with mdm if needed
Hi everyone,
I spoken to Anton about being able to deploy and setup the app via mobile device management system and he suggested a cost of $1000. I can contribute $100 for this. Would anyone else be willing to help and we can all benefit with this development please.
