Don't use the IMEI, there's a six digit number in the Android app that you use instead. IMEI is used for dedicated tracking devices
Where is this 6 digit number stored ? how do i access it ?
It's in the app itself, near the top of the options list when you first open the Traccar Client app.
I had entered it before but put 3 or 5 digits with Letters dash (-) and number combination
WOrks, now, thnks
Does it have to be only numbers ?
Can you recommend low cost gps device that might work in Mexico ? as SIM Card
try WeTrack2, is a low-cost device from Concox. Its a 2G device that comes only with ignition-cut capabilities.
Does traccar have this capability ? ignition-cut fuel ?
My other requirement is to get it to COunt People, along with tracking
since its allready tracking position it would have to save in same DB de counter per Unit (bus in this case)
Any sugestions ?
That would be out of the scope of normal GPS tracking. Your best bet is to build something separate for the counting of people and pull in the coordinates from Traccar using the API
There are devices that do that (accessories might be required). WeTrack2 is not one of those. Count people process is complex by nature. Once your selected device sends the information, it will get into server database.
Good afternoon Ernesto, recomendations for People Counter Devices, that can plug and play with traccar ?
Server Demo saus my devices (android) are offline, even tough i put correct IMEI and location enabled
Any thougths ?
