How did you decide which port to use? Correct one for your device is 5023.
when new and in the instructions port 8500 is programmed. have spent days trying to get this working on different platforms but nothing has worked until I used this platform and then just tried any ports as directed at https://www.traccar.org/clones/
after much digging around I found this and in this pdf manual parts are starting to make sense. I don't understand what all this is and how to make use of it but if someone here can guide, assist, pass information so that I can work with these devices.

okay - tracker is now working.....protocol gt03 and now live, making changes to the device in protocol versioning and other settings I now have it up and running...yay

Is it upload offline data?
Tracking device's cannot upload "offline" for a tracking system. Please make sure you ask a correct question or make a correct statement!
Feedback is devices are good and still working, only 1 in 10 devices have failed.
My feedback on the MT05 devices are 90% effective on 6 months test but for the price of 10 dollars each I would buy many and not use the kill system device as this can be more work on the vehicle.
Just using for tracking, you will also need to change settings on the device programming to send correct information to the server i.e. default setting sends incorrect information, changing the device configuration will send GPS longitude and latitude information which traccar can read.

Let me clear the Question:
Mt05 have internal memory of 5500 Data points in which it stores Data when there is no GSM signal and send to server all those data point when it got GSM signal and connectivity.
2ndly have you got gsm signal issue in some areas?
What do you mean by changing device programming?
can you alobrate more and share details
GSM is all about the mobile operator so the question should be about coverage of the mobile network or GSM network....not something traccar is concerned about or a question I can answer.
Yes to when the device is in underground parking and GSM Signal loss then the device cannot contact the server as mobile data is also lost and the GSM Ariel inside the device is small. Data is not collected until GSM signal is received and no data is stored but if you drive into an under ground car park the you need to drive out so no tracking is lost.
Yes any data stored by the device is received but as you point out "limited to 5500 data points".
Changing what data is sent to the receiving server as above the data sent to the server is a HEX string and not understood by traccar, changing the MT05 programming to send longitude and latitude information which traccar can read.

I am new to this system and I may not supply all relevant info...apologise in advance.
I have installed the Traccar and have sent configuration to the tracker on port 5001, I have received this below.
now I can tell you the imei is in the hex and the hex does not change....imei full is 358042080076110 and I have put this into many decoders and got nothing.
I have changed the port to the factory port of 8500 and got nothing in the server log. I then changed the port to 5002 and below....
I am at a loss and I am located in Cyprus, this is similar device to a lot of mini trackers such as the SABO ST01 which looks identical. Please can someone provide assistance as I have many of these (well my customer does) and no way of tracking apart from this program.
