Do i need to connect the device to power too to do that or just USB works?

I will get a 12v AC power this weekend to try the mentioned in the previous posts :-D

You need to power the device with 12v DC.

thank you all, it work with the 12v power!

after that i could install the drivers whiteout problem and connect to the device with the configurator and terminal software :D

i was having problems at the start because my home server traccar wasnt getting the data, but it is just missing configurations on the LAN router (i think).
wen i try connecting directly with the traccar demo server it work without problem.

the only big bad thing of the FM2200 model is that i need to use a IP instead of a domain.
but well, its life lol
i will need to have a dedicated IP for this :/

im trying to update the server IP on the device by SMS with "[user] [pass] setparam 1 245 [IP]" but im gething this reply : "warning: not supported Param ID or Value detected: 0"

ok it was just wrong syntax. i was putting a space between the [profile] and the [ID] on the SMS :

[sms user] [sms pass] setparam [profile(Must be 1)][parameter ID(3#)] [value]

i will need to have a dedicated IP for this

Try to use free service like dynDNS, NoIp o something like that.

In my first test I used dyndns.it.

i try to use NoIP but the FM2200 model only accepts IPs (not domains) :/
