New to Traccar
What accuracy have you selected? By default with medium accuracy it uses network location, not GPS.

I have tested all accuracies, from high over medium to low.
I was wondering that even waiting for about 15min nothing else than "service startet, network online" is on status page...

It means that your device doesn't report location for some reason. Either it's disabled or maybe you just don't have a GPS fix. Remember that GPS doesn't work indoors.
Well, I reinstalled the app yesterday, and I got a position update report.
I manually switch on/off GPS due to power saving, so I am sure that I switched it on.
The report that a device is online comes only on the web app when a position is fixed, right?

As my server @home is not set up yet, I tried to install Traccar client on my mobile (Huawei P8 / Android 6).
So, I registered at demo.traccar.org, set up the identifier provided from the client, switched wlan off and startet GPS.
Status page on client say only service startet and on next row network online.
On client "http://demo.traccar.org:5055" as server.
Android says that only GPS (location) is authorized (and allowed, of course) , all others are greyed out and not switchable.
Any ideas what went wrong?
