Cant change map types..
Remember that you can set the default map type for the server, and you can also choose the map type for each user!
So check the server and user account settings!
Tryed all that, but it goes back to the old map....
Can you post the prints of the two settings?
You are clearly missing something somewhere, but because you haven't provided any information or screenshots, it's not possible to help you.
Sorry for bad responce, been sick for some days.
I have experimented a bit and I have found that when i use HTTPS, the maps will not change, so this is a fault on my side.
When i use it unsecured, all is good/working.
Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how this can be fixed?
I don't think it has anything to do with HTTPS, but possibly your proxy cached some requests?
I use a reverse proxy with Apache2 + Let's Encrypt running on Ubuntu 16.04 64bits, I made the settings by following this information:
1 - https://www.traccar.org/secure-connection/
2 - https://www.traccar.org/forums/topic/information-auto-forward-http-to-https/
Fixed it....
Wrong SSL setting set by me in IIS.

Hello I am having the same difficulty in changing map, server is with one configuration and user with another but prevails server configuration.

Try to change between Custom and OpenStreet Map, but it goes back to the old Custom map after refresh.
Tryed all other maps with same result.
Fresh 3.16 install.
