The switch is for a backup battery which is not fitted to this model.
As for the APN changing back to default I have not experienced this problem but issuing the FACTORY command will reset it.

I have two issues/questions about this AH208 GT02 device from XCSource.
There is a small switch to the right of the SIM card, what does this do please? There is no mention of it in the manuals.
Secondly the APN automatically resets from giffgaff.com to mobile.o2web.co.uk causing my link to traccar to break. I have to resent the apn and adminip texts to get it to reconnect and show online again. Any solutions to that please?
