Help Needed with RF-V8

Hi Anton:

I need your help again.

I am trying to add a new gps tracker into my server. The model is Reachfar RF-V8.

I have programmed the APN, IP and PORT of the tracker with the following SMS command:

apn,internet,pip,109.235.68.55,pport,5005,plmn,tcp#

And gets new data on my server log:

None of those messages are from your tracking device. They are all from your browser. I guess you were checked if the port is open or something.

My Server is a Linux VPS with fixed IP address and no firewall in use, so all ports are open.

Do you know which port must use the Reachfar RF-V16 tracker in Traccar?

Do you know which port must use the Reachfar RF-V8 tracker in Traccar?

Have you had some experience working with this devices?

You can try ports from the following page:

https://www.traccar.org/ports-for-tk-gt-and-other-gps-devices/

Even if you are using wrong port, you should see HEX messages in the log.

Hi, im but in this Days this two GPS, the V30 and V16 from ReachFar protocol.

Im have the protocol specifications if you need im can send to you, and my question is; in the port 5002 working fine this GPS?

I bought 2 RF-V8 trackers from Reachfar.

Eventually I managed to get them working on traccar with this command by SMS:

1st set you're control phone-number

then: ip,x.x.x.x,port,5013,plmn,tcp#

Could someone tell how to set the apn, ip and port correctly to get RF-V8s to work in Traccar server?
I have tried with these commands (both gives "APN set succesfully") but I can't get any HEX values to traccar log. And I cannot see the device online.

apn,internet,pip,somedomain.com,pport,5013,plmn,udp#

Someone please help, what is the correct fromat?

I have also set the sos1 phone number correctly.

Did you try my solution?

1st set you're control phone-number

then: ip,x.x.x.x,port,5013,plmn,tcp#

Device should reply with IP:x.x.x.x;PORT:5013;OK!

It says "incorrect instruction format" if I send sms command: ip,123.123.123.123,port,5013,plmn,tcp#
